YMCA of Sequim Pool Deck Update
Firstly, we want to thank our YMCA of Sequim pool patrons and members, for your understanding about our pool closure. We have made every effort to take an unfortunate safety closure and utilize the time wisely.
While the pool was already drained, we decided to avoid future closures by doing some much needed maintenance. You will be glad to know that we have successfully removed the broken glass from the large pool, and the second coat of epoxy paint is about to be applied. Please see more information below.
đź“Ť Shore Aquatic Center usage update -
With respect to their members and capacity, we ask that our Y Members limit their free visits to the Shore Aquatic Center to:
Mondays - Fridays, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. through the duration of our closure.
We do not want to take advantage of their generosity and wear out our welcome. If you choose to visit their facility outside these times, please be prepared to pay their daily rate, available here.
đź“Ť Pool Deck update -
The lap pool (large pool) requires more epoxy work. Once application is done and the air quality is determined to be safe for human consumption, we will be able to re-open the pool deck for use of the shallow pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. We will update you as soon as we know more via email, website alert bar and Facebook.
đź“Ť Lap Pool update -
Once epoxy work is completed and after the requisite 14-day curing time, we will be able to begin filling the pool, chemically-balance and heat the water. We look forward to updating you in the coming weeks about the lap pool being ready to open for business.
